FILLING A CHECK IN FORM

October, 21st 2015.

For most of the people born in the seventies and the eighties, this date represents the day Martin Mc Fly comes back to the future.

You may think this is a paradox, but it is not for the great number of fans that the movie BACK TO THE FUTURE  has around the world.

This is one of he most representative scenes of the first movie of the trilogy.

To conmemorate the day in which Martin  shows up in our era, many companies, PEPSI among

them, have launched  a series of products and merchandising with  relation to  the movie.

Have a look at  the same scene you have seen above, this time in a video game.

Here, we have Martin coming  back to the "future" Hill Valley and, according to the movie, this is

how our time should be like:

If you want to find out   some of the non-existing technologies of the time which appear in the

movie, watch this video.

Now, after all this information, can you write some sentences in the present and past time showing

what you know about the movie?

By the way, their coming into the present time came true!!!

THANKSGIVING DAY FOOTBALL

Thanksgiving Day football games in the United States are nearly as old as the game itself.
The first Thanksgiving Day football game took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Thanksgiving Day of 1869, less than two weeks after Rutgers defeated Princeton in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in what is widely considered to have been the first American Football game.

On November 17, 1869, the Evening Telegraph newspaper of Philadelphia published the following announcement: "Foot Ball: A foot-ball match between twenty-two players of the Young America Cricket Club and the Germantown Cricket Club will take place on Thanksgiving Day at 12 1/2 o'clock, on the grounds of the Germantown Club."

The tradition of playing football games on Thanksgiving continues to this day.

High school football games played on Thanksgiving are often called a Turkey Day Game or a Turkey Bowl (not to be confused with Turkey bowling), as Americans typically eat turkeys on Thanksgiving, although the title varies with each game. Most commonly these games are between high school football rivalries although in many cases, when poor weather requires a shorter season, the game can be the culmination of league play among a high-school league, in which the winners of this game will be the league champions for the year.
